The University of Birmingham, a global top 100 university, tackles some of the biggest issues the world faces in its’ research studies, making a difference to people’s lives on a daily basis.

ABA Infant Feeding Study

This research study was a collaboration between the University of Birmingham and University of Bristol. The study’s aims were to find out how mothers can be helped to feed their baby successfully and confidently. Many new mothers would like some extra help in feeding their babies the way they wish to and have questions about feeding. The study compared two different ways of helping new mothers.

Oakshed was commissioned to create a brand for this research study, together with a variety of information leaflets, posters and genograms* to inform mothers of all the details about the study.

* A genogram (pronounced: jen-uh-gram) is a graphic representation of a family tree that displays detailed data on relationships among individuals.

Precedent Study

The aim of this research study is to explore key stakeholder (healthcare professionals and parents) views and behaviour change opportunities for a hospital-based intervention around supporting parents to change their home smoking behaviours to reduce children’s exposure to secondhand smoke. Oakshed was commissioned to create a brand for the study, in additional to the design of the leaflets and adverts directed at both healthcare professionals and parents.

Other research studies

Oakshed has been commissioned to create brand logo marques for a variety of other University of Birmingham research studies.
